Daicel Launches Recycled POM Rod Grades with 30% PCR Content

Daicel Corporation has unveiled four new DURACON® POM grades containing 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) material, applicable to rod and sheet production.The new PCR-POM offering includes Standard, Low VOC, Sliding, and Tough grades, maintaining key mechanical properties comparable to virgin materials. Initially targeting B2C applications such as zippers and fasteners, Daicel plans to expand into automotive applications within 3–5 years.The company's proprietary recycling technology addresses the challenge of recovering POM from used components that often contain lubricants and contaminants.
