What is Black POM-C Rod?

Black POM-C rod is solid round rod made of copolymer polyoxymethylene modified with black masterbatch. Compared with POM-H, POM-C features superior hydrolysis resistance, alkali resistance, creep resistance, better toughness and thermal stability. It has inherent self-lubricating property and low friction coefficient with good dimensional stability, easy for precision turning and milling. It is suitable for humid and wet working conditions, widely used in water pump parts, valves, bearings, bushings and automation equipment components.

Manufacturing Process

Black POM-C rod is produced by extrusion molding process. Copolymer POM raw material is fully blended with black masterbatch, melted at high temperature and continuously extruded through a special die. After cooling, shaping, traction and cutting, solid rods in standard lengths are obtained. Temperature and extrusion speed are strictly controlled during production to reduce internal stress, ensure uniform diameter tolerance and prevent deformation in subsequent machining.
